Living in the Azores where nature presents us with wonderful sights and light it is tempting to have a literal approach to photography. I try to go beyond the landscape and look for the emotions underneath. These islands are, at times, unforgiving, isolated and mysterious and I want to show the intersection of these characteristics in my images.
